Inspired from the classic tale of Sisyphus and by the Albert Camus version of 1942, we made an art book and a music album.
THE BOOK
The book is 146 pages long and it has an experimental collage style with text superimposed on visual elements and vice versa.
It contains 44 inedited pictures from 21 different artists.
THE ALBUM
Recorded in Berlin, the 9 tracks album tells the vision of the myth of Sisyphus trough electronic music and religious atmosphere.
The music environment is tight, spacial, monumental. When you look at the architecture, you see the cold grey concrete tangled up with the warm classical Italian churches and Berghain, maybe a quest for a new kind of spirituality.
THE MYTH OF SISYPHUS
Sisyphus chose to have a life of freedom and joy, for this reason he was condemned by the gods to repeat the same meaningless task forever : pushing a rock up a mountain, only to see it rolling down again.
"The workman of today works everyday in his life at the same tasks, and his fate is no less absurd than Sisyphus’s one."
[A. Camus]
